Job Summary

Masonry Labourer - Working directly under masons to maintaining site preparation and continuous flow of masonry materials.

Duties and Responsibility
Scaffolding Setup - Erect, move and dismantle scaffolding
Material Handling - Load, unload and move bricks, blocks & natural stone
Mixing Mortar - Mix mortar, grout to the required consistency using mixers, moving with wheelbarrow & pails
Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, brick cutters & quick cut saws safely
Cutting - Bricks, Blocks and Stone using brick cutters & power saws
Site Cleanup - Remove rubble, scrap mortar and keep the work site secure and organized
Safety & Compliance - Wear required personal protective equipment - Hard Hats, Safety Glasses, Ear Protection, Respirator Mask, High Visibility Clothing & Safety Boots
Follow site safety protocols
Experience




Previous construction experience or familiarity with masonry work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, brick cutters & quick cut saws
Working at Heights
Solid physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy loads and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 44.0 per week
