Strengthen fraud controls as a Verification Assurance Officer in Edmonton, London, conducting claimant interviews and face-to-face verification activities. This is fully site-based work.

The Government Recruitment Service is introducing this role within selected Jobcentre and Service Centres. You will work with colleagues to identify potential fraud, improve verification processes, and prevent fraud entering the welfare system. The role supports reduced customer debt and Fraud, Error and Debt strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct initial and further evidence interviews with Jobcentre colleagues
- Verify documents for Universal Credit claim elements
- Conduct customer review meetings involving evidence




- Report fraud trends to DWP risk and intelligence teams
- Lead customer education sessions on responsibilities and non-compliance

Requirements:

- Ability to work fully from a Jobcentre location
- Solid communication skills for claimant interviews
- Ability to collaborate face to face with colleagues
- Accuracy maintaining Management Information as directed
- Willingness to travel between sites when required
