This experienced Welder reports to the Fabrication Supervisor within Apex Industries' Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. The work involves fitting, assembling, and welding components to specifications. Success requires interpreting engineering drawings, weld symbols, and drawing notes while producing quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and notes
Fit, assemble, and weld components using TIG processes
Fabricate stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum components
Verify dimensions, fit-up, finished welds, and tolerances
Communicate drawing discrepancies, challenges, and quality concerns
Requirements:
Minimum five years of welding or fabrication experience
Demonstrated TIG welding experience
Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, symbols, and specifications
Robust fitting, layout, measurement, and assembly skills
High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
