Coordinate mental health bed flow and patient transfers at Trillium Health Partners, using clinical judgment and cross-site collaboration. This temporary hybrid assignment is based at Mississauga Hospital.

The Mental Health Bed Flow Coordinator provides operational leadership across the Mental Health Program. Working with Physicians, Bed Allocation, Charge Nurses, and unit teams, the coordinator facilitates admissions, transfers, and repatriations. The role supports capacity planning, throughput, and reduced emergency department length of stay.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop daily flow strategies responding to capacity and acuity changes
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and repatriations using EPIC
Pre-assign patients to units with the bed desk




Support cross-site capacity planning and bed movement
Identify barriers and recommend process improvements

Requirements:
Undergraduate health care degree, preferably nursing
Current membership in valuable-standing with a qualified college
Three to five years recent acute-care mental health experience
Proven leadership, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
Critical thinking and calm decision-making under pressure
