This Underground Automation Technician supports secure, reliable underground control and automation systems. The work includes Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, process control, communication networks, and equipment commissioning. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to resolve production issues and improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, and process monitoring systems
Maintain basic and intermediate process control strategies
Diagnose hardware, software, and communication network issues
Support equipment integration, installation, and commissioning
Provide technical input on system performance and improvements
Requirements:
Valid 309A, 442A, or 447A certification, or related engineering degree
Three years of relevant underground mining experience
Rockwell PLC and HMI programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
Experience with Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, or OPC UA
