Job RequirementsPlease note, this position will close at 11:59 PM November 6, 2026The Manager, Caretaking Services is responsible for the operation of cleaning and maintenance services for all schools, support and administration facilities.Specific AccountabilitiesHires and trains staff; monitors staff performance, evaluations and setting of goals and objectives for staff.Prepares and manages the department budget; maintains records and statistics to monitor and control costs.Monitor and ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.Coordinates cleaning and minor maintenance programs in all facilities.Assists the union negotiations team during collective bargaining.Assists staff and public on issues related to applicable policies and procedures.Maintains documentation and technical data relative to the maintenance request system.Supervises contracted service providers to ensure quality controls.QualificationsDiploma in a related fieldSix (6) to nine (9) years’ experience in institutional cleaning techniques and standards, mechanical, heating and ventilation equipment, and boiler chemical testing; including experience ina supervisory capacity.Fourth Class Engineering CertificateCertification in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Lift OperationValid Alberta Driver’s License and a vehicle in positive operating conditionProficiency with Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
