Responsibilities
Involved in detailed technical design, development, and implementation of applications using emerging technology choices.
Own the development of a recent platform following established best practices and standards.
Focus on usability, cloud adoption, and user experience.
Engage with a wide user base globally to develop effective user interfaces for onboarding and regulatory platforms.
Participate in all facets of software development, from requirement analysis to design and development.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of agile development practices.
Requirements
Strong technology background with advanced knowledge of Java and Java-based technology stack.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java EE and core Java.
Experience with web service development, REST, and Services Oriented Architecture.
Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration.
Working knowledge of databases, including design and SQL proficiency.
Strong experience with development and automated testing frameworks like Spring, JUnit, BDD, etc.
Experience with Unix/Linux.
Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external groups, including offshore teams and vendors.
Strong development skills with the ability to translate technical design into workable solutions.
Familiarity with working in a large team.
Willingness to learn new technologies to meet business requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills, including system integration and infrastructure debugging.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Web UI JS frameworks like AngularJS, ExtJS.
Awareness or experience with Pega BPM tools or other Business Process Management tools.
Experience with distributed caching and NoSQL databases like Marklogic.
Big Data technology experience such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Elastic Search.
Experience with data management through vendor feeds.
