LiquidPiston seeks an Engineer with solid additive manufacturing and topology optimization experience for its R&D; team. You will transform next-generation rotary engine designs using computational design, simulation, and manufacturing technologies. The work connects mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
Design lightweight engine components using topology optimization and additive manufacturing
Optimize structural, thermal, and fluid-related features with nTop or similar software
Develop solid models and assemblies tailored for additive processes
Analyze designs with FEA, CFD, thermal simulation,



and test data
Oversee additive builds through validation, manufacturing, and post-processing

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Three or more years in product design, simulation, or manufacturing
Expertise with DMLS, SLS, Binder Jetting, or similar methods
Proficiency with topology optimization tools, preferably nTop
Robust 3D CAD and ANSYS or similar simulation experience
