Protect members and guests at GoodLife Fitness as a Lifeguard, using constant surveillance and calm emergency response. Monitor pools, whirlpools, and pool decks.

The Lifeguard maintains safety during Aqua Group Fitness classes and Family Swim. This position responds to pool emergencies and provides emergency care until medical services arrive. Duties include enforcing pool rules, testing water chemistry, maintaining cleanliness, and completing paperwork. The role also communicates facility deficiencies to the General Manager without delay.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor members and guests across pools, whirlpools, and pool decks
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide required emergency care
- Monitor Aqua Group Fitness classes and Family Swim




- Enforce pool rules fairly and explain their rationale when needed
- Test water chemistry, clean facilities, and report deficiencies promptly

Requirements:

- Six months to one year of related experience
- Basic understanding of pool operation and water chemistry
- Current National Lifeguard Service Lifeguard Certificate including CPR-C
- Calm, effective reactions during emergency situations
- Customer focus, interpersonal savvy, and decision-making skills
