The Senior General Ledger Accountant is a senior accounting team member for a growing immersive entertainment company operating across four sites: United States (2), Canada, and Iceland. This role supports accounting operations and financial reporting across the Flyover Attractions platform.Partnering closely with the Controller, VP, Finance & Accounting and Flyover leadership, this role brings strong technical accounting expertise and ensures accuracy, compliance, and financial discipline across the business.The Senior General Ledger Accountant will also support standing up a new ERP system (Microsoft Business Central), separating from legacy systems, and building scalable financial infrastructure for a growing multi-site organization.This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office.Location:Chicago, IL - Navy PeirCompensation:$90,000-$100,000 USD/annuallyExtended BenefitsWhat you’ll doCoordinate and support the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages.Own the balance sheet reconciliation and ensure timely resolution of reconciling itemsMonitor fixed assets, prepaid expense, accruals and intercompany accountsPrepare month end journal entries (accruals, interco, prepaids, fixed assets, etc.) and working papersAnalyze and reconcile GL accounts for month-end ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciledReview and analyze financial results, identifying unusual variances and trendsPrepare annual audit information and supporting documents. Liaise with auditorsSupport Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable activities as neededAssist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for external auditorsMaintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies,



and financial processes to ensure compliance with GAAP and company standardsContribute to improvements in accounting processes, systems, and reporting workflowsOther duties as assignedSkills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and drive efficiencyCan independently run the accounting function while knowing when to escalExperience in multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-jurisdictional organizationsStrong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insightsHigh level of integrity, accountability, and sound judgmentAdaptable and solutions-oriented, able to navigate ambiguity and organizational changeStrong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholdersExperience with Microsoft Business Central is an assetExperience in hospitality, tourism, attractions, or experience-based businesses is an assetEducation & ExperienceEDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional accounting designation strongly preferred (CPA, CA, or equivalent)5+ years of accounting experienceProject accounting experience is considered an assetIDEAL EXPERIENCE:Working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS principles and financial statementsDemonstrated experience overseeing accounting operations across multiple regions or countries,
