This Senior Accounting Educator role focuses on making complex financial concepts understandable and practical. You will teach accounting theory and practice, develop problem-solving activities, assess progress, and guide students through financial management. Collaboration with commerce educators and awareness of current regulations are also central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instill financial literacy, budgeting, and personal finance understanding
- Deliver comprehensive Accounting lessons for Grades 10-12
- Create case studies, exercises, and practical accounting activities
- Evaluate tests, assignments,
statements, and projects
- Lead workshops or invite financial industry guest speakers
Requirements:
- Five years' secondary school Accounting teaching experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Understanding of South African tax laws and financial legislation
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Residence near Kimberley or willingness to relocate
