Support hands-on building repairs at the Hemlo Mine Site as a Surface Trades Assistant with painting and material-handling skills. This is full time permanent work.

Reporting to the Surface Maintenance Supervisor, you will support carpenters and the Surface Maintenance department. Duties include construction, facility upkeep, site preparation, and general labour. Protected work practices, environmental requirements, and site rules guide daily activities across mine facilities, shops, and project areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist carpenters with building repairs, renovations, and construction projects
Prepare surfaces through cleaning, scraping, sanding, masking, and priming
Paint and apply coatings as instructed by supervision
Move, organize, and safely store tools,



equipment, and materials
Clean work areas and report hazards, damage, or unsafe conditions

Requirements:
Completed Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Previous general labour, construction, or carpentry experience preferred
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials
Ability to perform physical tasks safely and follow instructions
Valid G Class Driver’s license
