The City of Thunder Bay is seeking a Personal Support Worker for its municipally operated long-term care home. You will support residents in a warm, home-like environment with high staff-to-resident ratios. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, multidisciplinary collaboration, reporting changes, and care documentation. Pioneer Ridge serves 150 residents with more than 200 staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Encourage residents during activities of daily living
- Provide individualized care within established nursing programs
- Participate in multidisciplinary resident care conferences




- Document resident information according to policy
- Follow safety procedures during emergencies

Requirements:

- Recognized personal support worker program approved by the Ministry
- Or enrollment in a nursing program at college or university
- Genuine interest in elderly residents’ needs
- Competence within Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
