Tell contemporary Canadian stories with CBC through innovative visual storytelling, editorial judgment, and solid cinematography and editing skills. This Vancouver position is on-site.

As a permanent Video Producer, you will support CBC Vancouver’s visual storytelling team across multiple platforms. The work includes developing original treatments, determining editorial direction, and reflecting diverse and underrepresented communities. You will also provide production guidance while following CBC’s Journalism Standards and Practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Influence editorial direction through original story ideas
- Determine visual style, pace, tempo, and format
- Develop production methods using contemporary storytelling techniques




- Provide technical guidance on production workflows
- Support content creation through feedback and mentorship

Requirements:

- Five years’ practical industry experience with relevant education
- Strong creativity, initiative, and production responsibility
- Experience representing diverse contemporary communities visually
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Use creativity, editorial insight, and production expertise to strengthen CBC’s visual journalism across contemporary platforms.
