You will provide high-level legal advice and leadership on sensitive matters, drawing on in-house counsel experience, legislative process understanding, and commercial or contract law expertise. The role supports effective departmental administration and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level advice on complex and sensitive legal matters
Lead negotiations on complex legal matters for DEED
Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders
Contribute to departmental policies, standards, and strategies

Requirements:
Solid legal background in an in-house workplace
Understanding of the legislative process
Experience providing in-house legal counsel
Experience in commercial or contract law
Ability to demonstrate expected leadership behaviours
