Weir seeks a Hose Buff and Test Technician for its industrial manufacturing team. You will prepare custom-engineered hoses for mining and oil sands applications, use mechanical tools, and follow engineering specifications. Direct hose testing experience is not required because comprehensive training is provided.
Key Responsibilities: Remove excess material and finish cured hose surfaces
Operate grinders, cutting tools, hand tools, and torque equipment
Install and remove test flanges and hardware
Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests and measure hose expansion
Document results and assist with packaging and shipping preparation
Requirements: Robust commitment to workplace safety
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Comfort using hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to work in industrial manufacturing
