As a Geriatric Psychiatrist, you will provide integrated psychiatric services for older adults and patients with acquired brain injuries. You will work with the Fraser Health Geriatric Mental Health team and interdisciplinary partners. The position combines hospital consultation liaison work, community outreach, and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver consultation liaison services at hospital sites
Engage patients through outreach to residences
Collaborate with assisted living and long-term care physicians
Advocate for individual patients’ psychiatric needs
Maintain team-oriented relationships supporting care continuity
Requirements:
Qualified or eligible Psychiatrist
CMPA
CPSBC Full or Provisional
FRCPC or FRCPC eligible
Mandatory ECT roster and emergency on-call participation
Apply consultation liaison psychiatry, community outreach, and cooperative care across Fraser Health’s hospital and community services.
