The National Accounts New Business Underwriting team is looking for an experienced and energetic Underwriter to support growth in the National Accounts market segment. You will join a team that combines creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking to develop compelling proposals that help Canada Life win and retain business in this exciting and competitive market. As a Group Underwriter on the Recent Business Underwriting team, you will be primarily responsible for performing all underwriting functions related to: Assess risk and prepare pricing on New Business Requests for Proposal (RFP) opportunities primarily under 1,000 lives, including plan design, financial arrangements, and client profiles, to determine fit with Canada Life's risk appetite. Identify creative pricing approaches and present recommendations to senior management. Support the implementation of successful new business clients and facilitate the transition of cases to renewal underwriting teams. Focus exclusively on New Business opportunities and quoting. Collaborate closely with Business Development partners and leaders across Canada. Gain exposure to complex cases, creative solutions, and evolving market trends.
