Lead fiscal planning and forecasting for Alberta’s Ministry of Affordability and Utilities in downtown Edmonton, working full time in-office.

The Financial Planning Manager leads finance specialists delivering budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis services. You will advise senior leadership, support ministry-wide decisions, and coordinate Treasury Board and legislative processes. The role also works with the Alberta Utilities Commission, Balancing Pool, and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the Ministry’s annual Treasury Board budget submission
Construct branch fiscal year budgets from requests and decisions
Compile expenditure forecasts and senior management analysis
Prepare quarterly fiscal update financial data




Coach Budget Officers and monitor accurate, timely deliverables

Requirements:
University graduation in business, commerce, accounting, or related field
Four years of progressively related experience
Experience coordinating annual budgets and expenditure forecasts
Experience providing financial advice for management decisions
Experience leading staff and managing budgeting stakeholders
