Full-Time Join our team as a Learning and Development Specialist, People & Culture You will enable the creation, delivery, and sustainment of our learning offerings and leadership development program including assessments, development, design, facilitation, execution communications, operations, and logistics. This position is based in our Home Office in Calgary, Alberta, and is a full-time, fixed-term contract opportunity through December 2027. Design and develop engaging learning content and experiences, for audiences at various levels, using sound instructional design and adult learning principles (ex. Create scalable, interactive, and engaging learning for a variety of modalities including eLearning, microlearning, virtual, in-person and blended learning methods using a variety of approaches and tools (ex. Create clear, compelling learning content, including PowerPoint presentations, facilitator guides, scripts, storyboards, job aids, resource guides, and assessments Conduct needs analyses in partnership with stakeholders to identify capability gaps, and business needs and recommend effective learning interventions Apply adult learning principles, and user experience thinking, to optimize learner engagement Facilitate in-person and live virtual workshops and learning events Build and deploy learning through our learning management system and supporting the ongoing maintenance of our LMS platform (UKG) Collect and analyze data to measure,



evaluate and report on the effectiveness of learning programs and continuously evolve based on learner feedback and outcomes Leverage Learning & Development and instructional design trends, continuously bringing fresh, creative thinking to enhance our programs aligned with industry best practices 3+ years of experience in instructional design and learning content creation with the ability to scope, design, and deliver engaging learning assets and learning pathways for various audiences ~3 to 5 + years of experience with facilitation, presentation, and public speaking, with the ability to inspire and guide learners through their learning and development experiences ~ Background or experience with coaching, leadership development and competency frameworks ~ Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 suite of applications ~ Experience with learning authoring tools and other content creation tools ~ Project management skills with the ability to execute from end-to-end ~ Ability to develop strong trust through a coaching model while engaging with stakeholders ~ Ability to quickly adapt in a new and changing environment while building rapport with new team members ~ Experience with Articulate Suite or UKG Pro Learning is considered an asset ~ Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset A people-first culture, (but dogs are also welcome) We are Canada’s fastest-growing eye care provider with our Canadian-owned ophthalmic lens manufacturing facility and distribution center.
