Apply electrical maintenance expertise at Waiward Industrial LP in Edmonton, Alberta, supporting wiring, power distribution, and shop operations. This permanent full time position offers a day shift.
As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance for Waiward's office and fabrication shop. The work includes reading schematics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and responding to emergency maintenance requests. Safety compliance remains central to daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair wiring systems
Troubleshoot power distribution and lighting systems
Maintain rotating equipment, motors, and control systems
Respond promptly to emergency electrical maintenance requests
Attend toolbox meetings and complete housekeeping tasks
Requirements:
Registered apprentice or Alberta-certified journeyperson credential
Elevated Work Platform and Fall Protection certifications
Respirator testing and WHMIS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work at heights and around moving equipment
Bring journeyperson electrical skills, troubleshooting experience, and safety discipline to Waiward's Edmonton fabrication shop and maintenance operations.
