Respond to fire, medical, and specialized emergencies as a Probationary Firefighter with Ajax Fire & Emergency Services. Serve Ajax through rescue and patient care.

Ajax Fire & Emergency Services seeks community-minded leaders committed to public service, professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and respect. This full time position works 24-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. Firefighters protect property and the setting, stabilize emergency scenes, and assist residents during public calls.

Key Responsibilities:
Respond to fire emergencies and perform rescues
Provide emergency patient care during medical emergencies
Stabilize scenes, vehicles, and patients after collisions
Maintain apparatus, equipment, and fire stations
Assist with public education and participate in training

Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent education
NFPA 1001 Levels 1 and 2 certification
Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s licence
Current First Aid and CPR-BLS certifications
Ability to manage demanding physical and emotional stress
