Sodexo is hiring a General Helper for a two-month contract supporting workers living at remote sites. Under the First Cook’s supervision, you will prepare food according to menus and service numbers. You will also maintain dining areas, supplies, tables, beverages, and steam-table service. Candidates must reach Thompson or Winnipeg independently before working remotely. The role requires adaptability, physical fitness, food safety knowledge, and readiness for remote living.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook food according to menus and service quantities
- Clean and maintain dining rooms, shelves, and floors




- Set tables and replenish beverage and condiment containers
- Maintain dishes and utensils for steam and salad tables
- Prepare coffee, cold beverages, and occasional steam-table service

Requirements:

- Experience as a Mess Hall Attendant in camp or institutional settings
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Food safety certificate and satisfactory attendance record
- Willingness to work day, night, or split shifts
- Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
