This Animal Care Specialist supports Semex’s Housing Team under the Animal Care Supervisor. The position combines livestock welfare, equipment operation, barn sanitation, and agricultural tasks. Candidates need a solid agricultural background, practical mechanical ability, and confidence handling large animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and maintain farm equipment
Provide bull feeding, care, and welfare support
Complete mechanical and manual barn cleaning
Handle hay, silage, and manure operations
Support seasonal crop work as required
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Solid agricultural background
Experience handling and caring for livestock
Physical ability to handle large bulls
