Lead client debt recovery through investigations, negotiations and compliance-focused administration with MLT Aikins’ Calgary Collections team.
This Collections Specialist supports debt recovery litigation alongside lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants. The position requires tangible collections experience, sound judgment and strong communication. Hybrid remote work becomes available two days weekly after the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct investigations to identify assets and evaluate recovery prospects
Develop collection strategies and prepare accounts for legal action
Communicate with debtors and their legal counsel
Draft and edit professional correspondence and documents
Complete training and participate in client audit processes
Requirements: Minimum three years performing collections work
Experience in law firms, agencies or in-house departments
Advanced computer skills across listed Microsoft applications
Document management, CollectLink, Techcom or Litigation Highway experience
Composure with diverse people and situations
Bring investigation, recovery strategy and compliance skills to a skilled legal collections practice serving MLT Aikins clients.
