Operate construction equipment and maintain municipal roads as a Public Works Operator with the Municipality of West Nipissing. This position works 36 assigned hours weekly.
Reporting to the Public Works Sub Foreman, the Public Works Operator performs road, sidewalk, water distribution, and wastewater collection maintenance. The position includes snowplowing, sanding, equipment operation, general labour, and safety-focused municipal services. Work may include evenings, weekends, after-hours, and on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities: Perform snow plowing, removal, and sanding operations
Maintain roads, drainage, sidewalks, and municipal infrastructure
Operate departmental vehicles, graders, trucks, and construction equipment
Support cemetery, landfill, municipal property,



and drain maintenance
Record daily work and hours-of-service information
Requirements: Grade 12 education or equivalent with robust communication skills
Valid DZ licence; AZ considered an asset
Experience operating backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, tandem trucks, and graders
Current CPR, First Aid, and WHMIS certifications
Ability to work outdoors, independently, and during emergencies
Bring equipment operation, winter control, and municipal maintenance skills to Public Works in West Nipissing.
