This Bus Driver position belongs to the Transportation department and reports to the Assistant Director. The regular schedule totals approximately 27.5 hours weekly, with morning and afternoon runs. Duties include driving a school bus, maintaining vehicle condition, completing inspections, and keeping required records.
Key Responsibilities: Drive a school bus along assigned morning and afternoon routes
Transport people, goods, and materials safely
Keep the vehicle clean and in positive running condition
Wash, clean, and fuel the vehicle
Complete inspections and report detected defects
Requirements: Hold an appropriate Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s licence
Know how to operate the required vehicles
Have basic heavy vehicle mechanics skills
Understand required preventive maintenance methods
Keep road records, logbooks, and inspection reports
Support school transportation on Route R-28 through safe driving, vehicle care, inspections, and accurate transportation records.
