Shape strategic communications for Minnesota’s Office of Cannabis Management in St. Paul, with telework available two days weekly. Write clearly and advise media.
As a Public Information Officer, you will consult on communications strategy and coordinate daily activities for OCM. You will support external media relations, serve as spokesperson when appropriate, and develop content for publications and channels. The work includes strategic planning, public information responses, and collaboration with leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic communications plans for target audiences
Write and edit public-facing communications across office channels
Respond to public information requests and prepare media interviews




Provide communications counsel for legislative efforts
Represent OCM at public meetings and events
Requirements: Three years in strategic communications, public relations, or journalism
Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of experience
Experience producing communications for diverse audiences
Experience working with news media and serving as spokesperson
Experience organizing press conferences or media events
Bring strategic communications, media relations, public information, and writing expertise to Minnesota’s Office of Cannabis Management.
