Support child nutrition at Kepler Academy’s Cavanagh location using commercial cooking and food safety skills in a childcare kitchen.

As an experienced Child Care Kitchen Helper, you will support the Child Care Chef with daily kitchen operations. Your work includes ingredient preparation, cooking, cleaning, inventory, and allergy-aware meal service. The kitchen prepares food for up to 150 children daily.

Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, surfaces, and kitchen areas
Maintain food, supply, and equipment inventory records
Label and date packages while practicing FIFO procedures
Prepare and cook food meeting allergy and dietary requirements
Maintain cleaning logs and follow handwashing procedures

Requirements:
Minimum one year commercial cooking experience in high-volume kitchens
Food Safety Certificate required
Ability to prepare food for up to 150 children
Knowledge of food handling, allergies, and substitutions
Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check issued within six months
