Apply quality control expertise at Alstar Group’s Calgary fabrication shop, inspecting welded piping and structural steel safely. Weekday and weekend shifts are available.
As a Shop QA/QC qualified, you will support fabrication quality through inspections, testing documentation, and code-based practices. The position requires CWB Level 1 Certification, two-plus years of quality control experience, and a solid understanding of ASME and CSA codes. Work takes place at 8700 Venture Ave SE, which is not transit-accessible, with other trades present.
Key Responsibilities: Complete dimensional and visual inspections of welded piping
Inspect structural steel and document quality control results
Record welders’ symbols, heat numbers, and radiography numbers




Prepare documentation and inspect pressure tests
Coordinate inspections with ABSA, NDE contractors, and client TPI representatives
Requirements: Possess CWB Level 1 Certification
Have two-plus years of quality control experience
Hold a Common Safety Orientation ticket
Understand ASME and CSA codes and practices
Lift up to 60 pounds and work at heights
Bring inspection, documentation, and safety expertise to Alstar Group’s Calgary fabrication operations supporting welded piping and structural steel.
