Coordinate staffing, equipment, and safety at Harbour Metals’ Dartmouth metal recycling yard while supporting efficient daily operations.
This full time, permanent Yard Supervisor position reports to the Operations Manager and leads yard employees. The successful candidate will assess site needs, communicate with dispatch, and assign resources. Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication support productivity, safety, and employee direction. Experience with forklifts, bobcats, and other production equipment is an asset.
Key Responsibilities: Assess daily needs of yard and site employees
Communicate operational requirements with dispatch
Coordinate staffing and training with the Operations Manager




Ensure employees follow safety requirements and instructions
Support daily yard operations and general duties
Requirements: Three-plus years of staff management and development experience
Three-plus years in steel service centres is an asset
Heavy equipment operating experience is an asset
Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Use resource coordination, employee leadership, and safety-focused decision-making to support Harbour Metals in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
