This seasonal Outdoor School Counsellor supports campers, fellow staff, and YMCA Calgary program delivery. The work includes risk management, group development, communication, and play-based learning activities. Counsellors lead day hikes or overnight hiking trips, support program areas, and help maintain a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support campers and staff within a collaborative team
- Manage participant risk and comfort in outdoor settings
- Facilitate developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities
- Lead day hikes or overnight hiking trips
- Maintain safe, clean, well-repaired environments

Requirements:

- Availability from February 22 through April 23, 2027
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift supplies, walk, bend, and stand extensively
- Transparent Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
