Sensity needs a Casual Intervenor in London, Ontario, to support deafblind people through communication, personal care, and daily living assistance.
This Intervenor position supports individuals with dual sensory impairment so they can live independently. Casual or pick-up scheduling requires at least 20 hours monthly. Key work includes using ASL or Signed Exact English, supporting personal hygiene, meals, cleaning, volunteerism, and community participation. You will also assist with goals, program development, personal care, and records. Sensity offers in-house training for client support.
Key Responsibilities: Support communication for individuals with dual sensory impairment
Promote participation across daily living activities
Assist with lifts, transfers, toileting,



and medication
Support individual goals and program development
Maintain complete documentation and records
Requirements: Diploma or certificate in Intervenor or related human services
Developmental disability and challenging behaviour support experience
Mental health support experience
ASL or Signed Exact English communication ability
Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds occasionally
Use communication and daily living support expertise to help Sensity clients pursue independence in London’s communities.
