This junior technician position provides geotechnical and construction materials field services across commercial, industrial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. You will help verify compliance with project and industry requirements through sampling, inspections, testing, and documentation. The work offers technical development with experienced professionals in a global consulting firm.
Key Responsibilities: Test soils, concrete, aggregates, and asphalt against requirements
Inspect subgrades and footings during construction activities
Complete compaction testing and construction reconnaissance




Core hardened concrete or asphalt using standard equipment
Calibrate equipment and document accurate test results
Requirements: Relevant college diploma, preferably including geotechnical coursework
Approximately 1–2 years of construction materials testing experience
OACETT registration or eligibility is an asset
Willingness to pursue CCIL concrete testing certification
Access to an appropriately insured vehicle for site travel
Bring construction testing, inspection, and documentation capabilities to WSP’s materials-focused field services team in Markham.
