Care for inpatients at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre using personal support skills, patient communication, and protected mobility assistance.
UHN is hiring a casual Personal Support Worker for 17 A/B Medical/Radiation Inpatient Oncology. This PSW works within an interprofessional care team, maintaining active collaboration with nurses and other healthcare professionals. The schedule includes variable days, evenings, and weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities: Provide feeding, lifts, transfers, bathing, and skin care
Support oral hygiene and toileting activities
Follow delegated tasks after appropriate education and training
Demonstrate basic information from each patient’s care plan
Document safety concerns, changes, and patient progress
Requirements: Accredited community college PSW program completion
Current Health and Supportive Care Providers registration
Current BCLS certificate
Acute care or rehabilitation experience considered an asset
Behavioral management training considered an asset
Use compassionate daily-care support, delegated-task training, and accurate documentation within Princess Margaret’s oncology inpatient services.
