Bring personal care and student safety experience to the Western Quebec School Board while supporting school participation and daily routines. Assist students according to individualized education plans.
As a student care attendant, you support children with mobility, hygiene, eating, dressing, and classroom activity needs. You may accompany students to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, relaxation sessions, and the pool. The position also involves observation, supervision, first aid, and communication with designated staff.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure student safety from transportation arrival through departure
Help students use materials for pedagogical and student activities
Accompany students to therapy sessions and pool activities
Help students understand and respect school rules




Support calming measures during dysregulation safely
Requirements: Vocational diploma, secondary diploma, or recognized equivalent
One year pertinent experience involving discipline and human relations
Experience with children who have autism spectrum disorder
Experience with young children requiring toileting assistance
Current standard first aid and refresher certification requirements
Apply student care, safety, supervision, and human relations skills while supporting participation throughout the school day.
