Support Island Health residents overnight through personal care, nursing procedures, and medication administration. Work regular part-time hours with rotating days off.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will care for complex but stable residents under a Manager or designate. The position requires collaboration with residents, families, coworkers, multidisciplinary teams, and the public. Practice follows BCCNM standards, agency policies, and unit-specific protocols while emphasizing quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities: Assess residents and organize individualized care plans
Deliver personal care to complex stable residents
Perform nursing procedures within established standards
Administer medications within full scope practice
Communicate effectively with families and care teams
Requirements: Practicing LPN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
Ability to deal effectively with others
Robust verbal and written communication ability
Ability to operate related equipment
Physical ability to perform assigned duties
Bring BCCNM registration, organized care planning, and full-scope nursing competencies to Island Health’s overnight long-term care service.
