Support residents in long term care as a casual Personal Support Worker at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph. Apply personal care and communication skills.
Under regulated health care professional direction, this PSW supports residents’ daily living activities and resident care areas. Duties include hygiene, nutrition, elimination, mobility, comfort, documentation, and communication. The position follows unit duties, PSW limitations, SJHCG policies, and Ministry of Long-Term Care guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care
Provide meals, fluids, nourishment, feeding assistance, and intake reporting
Support toileting, continence products, and drainage bag care
Promote comfort through positioning, mobility, lifts,



and ambulation
Document care accurately and participate in resident care improvements
Requirements: Personal Support Worker certificate or diploma meeting Ontario program requirements
Long term care experience preferred
Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and prioritization ability
Ability to accept direction and work independently
