Support resident wellness at AgeCare Cariboo Place in Williams Lake through dementia care, transfers, and attentive daily living assistance.
Reporting to the Director of Care or Resident Care Manager, the Resident Care Attendant supports nursing services under provincial standards. The position shares observations for Nursing Care Plans, follows the Team-oriented Care Model, and provides personal care. Duties include bathing, feeding, transfers, routine treatments, and resident monitoring.
Key Responsibilities: Observe and report changes in resident condition to nurses
Share resident needs and strengths during care planning
Provide bathing, dressing, washing, and personal care
Assist transfers using lifts, belts, and required controls
Support feeding, mobility, treatments, and daily activities
Requirements: Registration with the BC Care Aide Registry
Minimum Health Care Assistant provincial certification
Fluency in spoken and written English
At least five years in continuing care
Experience caring for residents with dementia
Bring resident care, dementia experience, transfer assistance, and collaborative observations to AgeCare Cariboo Place in Williams Lake.
