As a Residential Support Worker with The Salvation Army, you will help maintain protected, respectful homes for members. The position includes attending to health and medical needs, supporting personal care, and implementing individual plans. You will encourage participation in daily home and community activities while promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct safety checks throughout shifts
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support
Administer and record medications accurately
Provide safe transportation to various locations
Report concerns promptly to the on call person
Requirements: Remain alert and awake throughout all shifts
Follow safety rules, traffic laws, and procedures
Use provided PPE when necessary
Apply proper lifting, twisting, and reaching techniques
Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
Bring attentive safety practices, compassionate member support, and accurate health care documentation to residential services at The Salvation Army.
