Provide resident care as a part-time Personal Support Worker at AgeCare Samac in Oshawa, using care plans and bedside-care knowledge.
The Personal Support Worker supports residents at Purple Woods while helping identify needs and maintain a safe, secure setting. You will monitor care against established plans, document information, attend education sessions, and follow IPAC policies. This temporary position is 0.40 FTE.
Key Responsibilities: Provide care according to residents' established care plans
Observe residents and report findings to supervisors
Document resident-care information as directed
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and education sessions
Follow infection prevention and control policies
Requirements: Graduate of a Personal Support Worker certificate or diploma program
Meet Ministry of Training vocational standards
Meet National Association of Career Colleges standards
Understand simple treatments and related bedside care
Know sanitation, cleaning, and geriatric resident needs
