Hamaru Sushi, a 70-seat Japanese restaurant in Toronto (Leslie St. area), is looking for an experienced Sushi Chef to join our sushi bar team on a full time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare nigiri, sashimi, maki, and specialty rolls to order
- Handle and break down whole fish; check freshness and quality daily
- Keep the sushi bar clean, organized, and stocked
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours
Requirements:
- 2+ years of sushi experience; strong knife skills are essential
- Solid knowledge of Japanese fish and seasonal ingredients
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset
- Available evenings and weekends
- English communication required; Korean or Japanese is an asset Pay: $17.95-$33.39 per hour
