- 19588 About the Opportunity LRO Staffing is currently recruiting for an existing vacancy for an experienced Accounting Manager for a six-month contract with a global organization. Reporting into the Corporate Finance and Accounting team. This hands-on, individual contributor role will provide coverage through year-end close, financial statement review, preparation and review of accompanying notes, and the external audit. You will take ownership of complex accounting areas, resolve technical accounting issues under IFRS, and coordinate year-end and audit deliverables in a fast-paced global environment. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Own assigned areas of the global accounting cycle, including monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities, delivering accurate results within reporting deadlines
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting schedules; investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues before close
- Review year-end IFRS financial statements and prepare and review accompanying notes, including supporting schedules and disclosure analyses; coordinate inputs from global and regional teams and ensure consistency with underlying accounting records
- Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations, validate supporting data and reports, and resolve reconciling items with global and regional teams
- Work directly with external auditors on corporate and local audits: prepare audit schedules and supporting evidence, respond to queries,



explain accounting conclusions and resolve outstanding requests through audit completion
- Research and resolve technical accounting matters under IFRS, including percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition; review relevant contracts and accounting records, document conclusions and ensure accounting treatment is well supported and consistent with applicable standards About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- CPA designation
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with global, multi-country exposure, including hands-on year-end close responsibilities and direct experience working with external auditors
- Prior public accounting audit experience is considered an asset
- Very strong technical accounting skills under IFRS, with demonstrated percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition experience and the ability to independently assess complex accounting issues and document well-supported conclusions
- Demonstrated experience reviewing IFRS financial statements and preparing and reviewing accompanying notes, with the ability to assess disclosure requirements and coordinate year-end reporting and audit deliverables
- SAP experience is preferred




- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to quickly take ownership of an assigned portfolio, work independently and manage competing year-end and audit deadlines in a fast-paced global team
- High attention to detail, robust time management, and excellent investigative and troubleshooting skills About the Job

- Work Arrangement: Fully remote – candidates must reside in the Ottawa or Toronto area
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Compensation: $50.00/hour
