Provide frontline patient care and emotional support at George McDougall–Smoky Lake Healthcare while following individualized plans across all units.
This casual Health Care Aide position supports patients requiring short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work with families, caregivers, nurses, and health care professionals in a multidisciplinary setting. The focus includes daily living assistance, respectful partnerships, and person and family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver support services under regulated health skilled supervision
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Support organized activities and programs
Communicate effectively with patients and health care professionals
Document care accurately and respectfully
Requirements: CLHA registration, eligibility, or practice permit as an HCA
Proof of education or HCA certificate within eighteen months
Physical ability to support clients during routine tasks
Previous Health Care Aide experience preferred
Criminal record check or Vulnerable Sector Search required
