Support geriatric residents through bedside care, sanitation practices, and careful observation while working from established care plans at AgeCare.
The Personal Support Worker provides care to residents and assists with identifying their needs. You will help maintain a safe, secure environment while monitoring care, documenting information, and reporting observations. The position also includes directed staff education, meetings, workshops, onboarding support, and compliance with IPAC policies.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with identifying resident needs
Monitor care against established plans
Report resident observations to the immediate supervisor
Assist with onboarding recent staff as directed
Maintain a safe and secure resident environment
Requirements: Personal Support Worker certificate or diploma graduation
Meet Ontario Community Support Association standards
Meet applicable Ministry vocational standards
Know simple treatments and related bedside care
Know sanitation, cleaning, and geriatric resident needs
Use geriatric care knowledge, observation, documentation, and sanitation techniques to support residents as an AgeCare Personal Support Worker.
