Support transitional care and in-patient rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse at West Parry Sound Health Centre in Parry Sound.
This regular part-time position works with an interdisciplinary team across acute care, transitional care, and in-patient rehabilitation. The Registered Practical Nurse administers direct patient care under the College of Nurses of Ontario license scope. The role also maintains qualified nursing standards and supports proper equipment and facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care to patients
Follow the College of Nurses of Ontario license scope
Clean and assemble clinical equipment properly
Maintain patient care facilities and equipment
Collaborate with other health team members
Requirements: Successful completion of an approved RPN program
Current Certificate of Competence from the College
Previous experience using required nursing skills
Medication administration and medical asepsis education
Catheterization and IV training or education
Bring licensed nursing practice, patient care experience, and clinical training to WPSHC’s integrated care services in Parry Sound.
