Support deli leadership and customer service as a Prepared Foods Clerk with Sobeys. Supervise personnel during manager absences and merchandise service cases.
This Prepared Foods Clerk works throughout the Deli and A La Carte Department. You will provide professional customer service, complete orders, prepare programs, and maintain sanitation standards. When the Deli Manager is absent, you will supervise department personnel and promote employee coaching and development. The position also requires administrative duties and adherence to company standards. Sobeys is part of an extended family that includes Safeway, IGA, Foodland, FreshCo, Thrifty Foods, Lawtons Drugs, and Voilà.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise Deli and A La Carte personnel during manager absences




Promote employee coaching and development
Prepare and merchandise Deli and A La Carte programs
Complete customer orders across the department
Perform required administrative duties
Requirements: High School Diploma
At least 12 months of experience
Independent work ability in a quick-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to multitask with a good work ethic
Use department supervision, coaching, merchandising, and administrative skills to support Sobeys’ Deli and A La Carte operations.
