Valard Construction seeks Journeyperson Powerline Technicians for unionized worksites in the Aylmer area. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, you will build and maintain distribution systems using energized and de-energized procedures. The work includes system switching, underground installations, and crew support.
Key Responsibilities: Install overhead and underground electrical power distribution systems
Maintain poles, towers, guy wires, and associated equipment
Perform conductor stringing, sagging, clipping, and dead-ending
Execute advanced switching tasks involving reclosers and loop feeds
Model protected practices and support crew adherence to HSE policies
Requirements: Journeyperson Powerline Technician 434A or Red Seal
Utility construction and direct power distribution experience
Experience with energized work, switching, and underground installations
Class 4 Rubber Glove experience
Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract
