Provide qualified nursing care at Port Hardy Hospital using the nursing process and emergency response skills. This regular full-time role includes rotating days off.
As a Registered Nurse with Island Health, you will coordinate and administer direct client care within a multidisciplinary team. You will provide direction to staff and volunteers while supporting patient and staff safety. The schedule includes 0700-1900 and 1900-0700 shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate direct client care using the nursing process
Administer professional nursing care to assigned clients
Provide direction to staff and volunteers
Respond appropriately during emergency situations
Support patient, visitor, and staff safety
Requirements: BC College of Nurses and Midwives practicing RN registration
Two years of recent related experience, or equivalent preparation
Basic Life Support, Level C certification
Valid British Columbia driver's licence
Effective verbal and written communication skills
