As a Service Miner reporting to the Mine Supervisor, Underground, you will help crews maintain organized, safe, and properly supplied workplaces. Your responsibilities span utility services, ventilation, dewatering, barricades, platforms, inventory, inspections, and service vehicles. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to support production goals while promoting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental commitments.
Key Responsibilities: Operate underground support equipment and service vehicles
Construct and maintain underground infrastructure and work platforms
Support ventilation and dewatering activities
Deliver consumables and maintain inventory counts
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core or willingness to train
Valid driver’s license
Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn
Ability to perform physically demanding underground work
Apply underground mining, communication, and equipment skills while supporting secure production at Agnico Eagle’s Detour Lake operation.
